Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Prepare and process complex client invoices adhering to firm and client guidelines.
- Utilize Elite 3E billing software for updates, implementations, and data management.
- Communicate with attorneys and assistants to resolve billing discrepancies.
- Manage electronic billing through client portals and ensure compliance.
- Generate and analyze billing reports, including aging and revenue summaries.
- Apply knowledge of various billing arrangements, such as hourly and flat fees.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes and special projects.
- Maintain confidentiality of client and firm information at all times.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
- Two to five years of experience in legal billing, ideally in a large law firm.
- Proficiency in Elite 3E billing software and electronic invoicing systems.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interaction.
- Ability to streamline billing processes and manage unbilled accounts effectively.
- Knowledge of various billing arrangements, including contingency and flat fees.
