Job Description

Overview

  • Lead the global accounting function for a dynamic and growing organization.
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting and maintain strong internal controls.
  • Drive efficient month-end close processes and produce high-quality financial statements.
  • Oversee public company reporting requirements and compliance standards.
  • Support financial presentations for leadership, auditors, and stakeholders.
  • Manage global accounting operations, tax compliance, and subsidiary consolidations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial outcomes.
  • Mentor and lead a high-performing global accounting team.
  • Partner with the CFO to support strategic initiatives and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare and present financial statements and operational results for stakeholders.
  • Lead and improve month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
  • Oversee general ledger, revenue recognition, and multi-entity consolidations.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX requirements and support audits.
  • Direct operational accounting functions, including A/R, A/P, and treasury.
  • Manage statutory compliance and regulatory filings across jurisdictions.
  • Provide financial insights to optimize outcomes for complex business matters.
  • Guide accounting for foreign subsidiaries and ensure reporting compliance.
  • Collaborate with event finance and operations teams for financial guidance.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification required.
  • 12+ years of progressive accounting experience, with 5+ years in leadership.
  • Strong expertise in U.S. GAAP, revenue recognition, and consolidations.
  • Deep understanding of SOX, audit processes, and internal controls.
  • Experience with public company reporting and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, Excel, and data analysis tools.
  • Skilled in managing global operations and multi-currency consolidations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities for board-level audiences.
  • Experience in events, hospitality, or similar industries preferred.
