Accountant

Our client a healthcare organization based in Somerset County NJ is looking for an accountant to join their growing organization. This is a permanent role with great benefits and is onsite in Basking Ridge NJ three days per week, with two remote days.

Essential Functions:

• Provide backup for Accounts Payable and post Cash deposits.
• Assist in preparing required tax filings.
• Close Fixed Assets and Construction in Progress monthly.
• Special projects as needed assigned by the CFO and DOF.
• Prepare reports required under bond agreements.
• Process construction draw requisitions.
• Aid in budget preparation and reporting.
• Analyze and reconcile General Ledger accounts.
• Assist DOF with GL monthly closings and financial report preparation.
• Generate monthly and quarterly analytic reports and periodic regulatory reports.
• Prepare bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and post journal entries.
• Maintain prepaid and accrued expense schedules.

Requirements:

• Strong interpersonal abilities
• Minimum 5 years’ general accounting experience
• BS/BA in Accounting or Finance
• Proven problem-solving skills
• Dynamic written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in healthcare or hospitality setting, desirable
• Proficient in MS Office, including Excel
