Job Description

Position Summary:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-driven Benefits Analyst to support our growing healthcare organization. In this role, you’ll handle the day-to-day administration of employee benefits, including health, dental, vision, life, disability, wellness, and 401(k) plans, with a strong emphasis on using Workday for HRIS and benefits functions.

This position plays a key part in ensuring our healthcare workforce receives exceptional support and service in navigating their benefits options.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer daily operations of group benefit programs (health, dental, vision, life, AD&D, disability, FSA/HSA, EAP, wellness, and retirement plans).
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee benefit inquiries and escalations, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
  • Maintain and update employee benefits records and transactions in Workday.
  • Manage employee life-cycle benefit events (new hires, qualifying events, terminations).
  • Oversee 401(k) plan administration, including enrollments, contributions, loans, and compliance reporting.
  • Collaborate with HR, Payroll, and Finance to ensure seamless benefit processing and payroll deductions.
  • Support benefits invoice reconciliation and work with vendors to resolve discrepancies.
  • Participate in benefits audits and ensure compliance with applicable healthcare and federal regulations (HIPAA, COBRA, ERISA, ACA).
  • Assist with open enrollment planning, communication, and execution.
  • Compile and analyze benefits data and trends to support strategic recommendations.

Qualifications:

  • 2–5 years of experience in benefits administration within the healthcare industry or a large multi-shift organization.
  • Experience with Workday is required.
  • Strong knowledge of 401(k) plans and applicable regulations.
  • Solid understanding of federal and state benefits compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-service mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

Preferred Experience:

  • Familiarity with union and non-union benefits structures in healthcare.
  • Prior experience supporting benefits for a 24/7 operation or clinical environment.
