Job Description

Job Title: Junior Project Manager – 4 needs

Schedule: 40 hours between Mon-Sat 8:30am-5:30pm. Some early mornings and late evenings. Occasional Saturdays

Interviews: Virtual, 2 rounds

Hybrid role indicates that they would not need to be on site at all times, but we would like them to be willing to on-site to help out as needed. As a result the role is sort of regional. These are the "regions" we are looking at:

  • Rochester/Buffalo
  • Albany/Syracuse
  • Long Island
  • Westchester

Physical addresses are still being determined for most of the PPL projects – sourcing those locations would actually part of the role. 

The position is temp for the time being. Running at least until October 1st.

Position Summary:

The Jr. Project Manager, On-site will coordinate day-to-day operations of on-site medical screening projects in conjunction with the Director of On-Site Services. This role will wear multiple hats; staff coordinator, assistant event planner, vendor and customer service liaison, problem solver, and multi-tasking ninja. 

 

This position will help facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders to minimize misunderstandings and delays and proactively identify and address potential imbalances or resource constraints that could hinder project progress.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

·      Assist the Director of On-Site Services with coordinating, planning, managing, and improving the logistics of medical screening programs

·      Create and maintain events/locations schedules

·      Monitor and report event/location throughput to ensure optimization of resources

·      Provide guidance to on-site staff in coordination with staffing team and operations coordinators

·      Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, partners, senior leadership team, and departmental management across the organization

·      Troubleshoot any issues as they relate to project, event locations, daily schedules, staffing, supply shipments and shortages, bio-waste pick-ups

·      Attend and support project meetings by communicating meeting notes, action items, risks and issues to ensure internal and external project teams are aligned

·      Understand systems, databases, business processes, procedures, and partners to effectively monitor life cycle of the project

·      Other duties as assigned 

Education and Experience 

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant work experience considered

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in project coordination/event planning/production preferred 

• Experience in occupational health and/or primary care a plus

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

·      Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently

·      Independent and proactive approach to problem solving

·      Ability to work a flexible schedule often outside of normal business hours, including nights and weekends

·      Ability to work well in a fast-paced, changing environment

·      Ability to work with internal and external personnel to achieve programmatic success for the client

·      Strong analytical skills, process orientation and business savvy
