Job Description
Position Summary:
This role is ideal for a construction professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes ownership of the full project lifecycle. The Project Manager will lead ground-up projects, managing cost, schedule, subcontractor coordination, and client communication from preconstruction through closeout. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with a highly skilled internal team and gain exposure to complex, design-driven projects.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all phases of construction projects from planning and buyout to turnover
- Lead project start-up meetings, subcontractor buyout, and contract administration
- Monitor and manage project budgets, schedules, RFIs, change orders, and submittals
- Coordinate closely with Superintendents, subcontractors, and other parties
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and ensure high satisfaction
- Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting
- Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impact safety, quality, or schedule
- Support and mentor Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Project Manager (or equivalent role) with a commercial general contractor
- Proven success managing ground-up or large-scale interior construction projects
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project)
- Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, materials, and contracts
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
