Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Process time entries and ensure accuracy for payroll operations.
  • Input and verify timesheets for correctness and updates.
  • Handle payroll queries from managers and employees effectively.
  • Maintain payroll records, including sick and holiday records.
  • Calculate and process union fringe benefits accurately.
  • Complete agency reporting and inquiries as required.
  • File and maintain employee personnel files and related reports.
  • Generate reports for managers and the payroll team.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of payroll experience; 2 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with JDE software.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes and regulations.
  • Excellent math skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration.
  • Ability to anticipate and resolve payroll-related issues proactively.
  • Experience in a construction setting is preferred but not required.
