Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Process time entries and ensure accuracy for payroll operations.
- Input and verify timesheets for correctness and updates.
- Handle payroll queries from managers and employees effectively.
- Maintain payroll records, including sick and holiday records.
- Calculate and process union fringe benefits accurately.
- Complete agency reporting and inquiries as required.
- File and maintain employee personnel files and related reports.
- Generate reports for managers and the payroll team.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of payroll experience; 2 years preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with JDE software.
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes and regulations.
- Excellent math skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration.
- Ability to anticipate and resolve payroll-related issues proactively.
- Experience in a construction setting is preferred but not required.
