Job Description

Overview

  • Join a dynamic Corporate Finance team as an Expense Accountant AVP, contributing to financial analysis and process improvements.
  • Collaborate on monthly close processes, expense analysis, and receivables management for enhanced financial operations.
  • Drive process improvements and implement effective internal controls within corporate accounting functions.
  • Support cross-departmental collaboration for financial data reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Engage in special projects, including system implementations and operational enhancements.
  • Analyze and manage operating expenses, providing variance analysis and budget tracking insights.
  • Contribute to the preparation of consolidated financial statements and journal entries for legal entities.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Review and analyze monthly expense files, delivering high-level flux analysis by FSLI.
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including accrued liabilities and accounts receivable.
  • Coordinate with FP&A and department heads for expense reporting and budget tracking.
  • Prepare journal entries for operating and non-operating expenses across legal entities.
  • Collaborate across departments to provide financial data for forms and filings.
  • Identify process gaps, remediate issues, and enhance internal control documentation.
  • Participate in system implementations and operational enhancements for business-as-usual activities.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate accounting; 8 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, reconciliations, and variance reporting.
  • Experience with internal controls and process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong collaboration skills for cross-departmental assignments and reporting.
  • Ability to manage special projects, including system implementations and enhancements.
