Job Description
Overview
- Join a dynamic Corporate Finance team as an Expense Accountant AVP, contributing to financial analysis and process improvements.
- Collaborate on monthly close processes, expense analysis, and receivables management for enhanced financial operations.
- Drive process improvements and implement effective internal controls within corporate accounting functions.
- Support cross-departmental collaboration for financial data reporting and compliance requirements.
- Engage in special projects, including system implementations and operational enhancements.
- Analyze and manage operating expenses, providing variance analysis and budget tracking insights.
- Contribute to the preparation of consolidated financial statements and journal entries for legal entities.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Review and analyze monthly expense files, delivering high-level flux analysis by FSLI.
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including accrued liabilities and accounts receivable.
- Coordinate with FP&A and department heads for expense reporting and budget tracking.
- Prepare journal entries for operating and non-operating expenses across legal entities.
- Collaborate across departments to provide financial data for forms and filings.
- Identify process gaps, remediate issues, and enhance internal control documentation.
- Participate in system implementations and operational enhancements for business-as-usual activities.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in a relevant field is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate accounting; 8 years preferred.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, reconciliations, and variance reporting.
- Experience with internal controls and process improvement initiatives.
- Strong collaboration skills for cross-departmental assignments and reporting.
- Ability to manage special projects, including system implementations and enhancements.
