Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound imaging procedures with technical expertise and precision.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of imaging results and patient records.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Adhere to safety and quality standards in all imaging procedures.
- Assist in the training and mentoring of junior staff and interns.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Provide clerical support to the imaging department as needed.
Job Requirements
- Associate degree in Diagnostic Ultrasound or equivalent education required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in diagnostic imaging; 2 years preferred.
- Certification as RDMS, RDCS, or RVT by the ARDMS is mandatory.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, obtainable upon hire.
- Preferred qualifications include RDMS-BR certification and Spanish bilingual skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to high standards of patient care and diagnostic accuracy.
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts, including nights and weekends.
