Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Diagnose and treat acute illnesses and chronic diseases in Gastroenterology.
- Prescribe medications, therapies, and specialized medical care to patients.
- Explain procedures and discuss test results or treatments with patients.
- Monitor patient conditions and adjust treatments as necessary.
- Provide health and wellness advice, including diet and disease prevention.
- Maintain detailed notes of appointments, tests, and treatments prescribed.
- Refer patients to other medical specialists when necessary.
- Prepare official health documents or records as required.
- Deliver compassionate and empathetic support to patients regarding health concerns.
Job Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree required.
- Licensed to practice medicine in the State of New York.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience; 3 years preferred.
- Experience with advanced endoscopy procedures is ideal but not mandatory.
- Ability to perform in-office procedures and hospital coverage.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and colleagues.
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a collaborative setting.
- Willingness to participate in on-call duties as scheduled.
