Overview

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Diagnose and treat acute illnesses and chronic diseases in Gastroenterology.
  • Prescribe medications, therapies, and specialized medical care to patients.
  • Explain procedures and discuss test results or treatments with patients.
  • Monitor patient conditions and adjust treatments as necessary.
  • Provide health and wellness advice, including diet and disease prevention.
  • Maintain detailed notes of appointments, tests, and treatments prescribed.
  • Refer patients to other medical specialists when necessary.
  • Prepare official health documents or records as required.
  • Deliver compassionate and empathetic support to patients regarding health concerns.

Job Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree required.
  • Licensed to practice medicine in the State of New York.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience; 3 years preferred.
  • Experience with advanced endoscopy procedures is ideal but not mandatory.
  • Ability to perform in-office procedures and hospital coverage.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and colleagues.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a collaborative setting.
  • Willingness to participate in on-call duties as scheduled.
