Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Drive accurate and timely billing and collections processes for assigned partners and practice groups.
  • Monitor accounts receivable reports, ensuring prompt payment and resolving underpayments effectively.
  • Update finance reports regularly to maintain quality reporting for senior management.
  • Collaborate with internal finance teams to ensure compliance with client guidelines and accurate invoicing.
  • Coordinate and lead monthly billing and accounts receivable meetings with assigned partners.
  • Ensure successful submission of e-billing through designated platforms and client systems.
  • Support client account managers with day-to-day operations and special projects as needed.
  • Document client requirements to streamline collaboration and improve billing processes.
  • Participate in system upgrades and validate functionality to enhance billing operations.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related fields required.
  • 4-5 years of relevant billing and client relationship experience in professional services or law firms.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word with strong technical billing and client service skills.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills to manage complex billing processes.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends to meet deadlines as required.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a partnership environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to investigate and resolve billing issues effectively.
  • Demonstrates leadership qualities and a proactive approach to process improvements.
  • Experience in handling e-billing platforms and adhering to client outside counsel guidelines.
