Job Description

Overview

  • Lead and manage all aspects of income tax and sales/use tax functions.
  • Provide strategic direction for tax compliance, planning, and reporting.
  • Serve as primary liaison with tax authorities and external auditors.
  • Ensure accurate and timely filings across federal, state, local, and international jurisdictions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to maintain compliance and streamline processes.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare and review federal, state, and local income tax returns and K1s.
  • Research tax issues and provide documented conclusions and recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with periodic tax payments and reporting requirements.
  • Manage sales and use tax compliance, reporting, and audit support.
  • Maintain and approve sales tax exemption certificates and global registrations.
  • File and pay tax liabilities to various government entities.
  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts to enhance compliance and efficiency.
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for the tax department.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting or related field required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in income and sales tax areas.
  • Preferred 15 years of experience with strong executive presence.
  • CPA license preferred; working knowledge of tax codes and regulations.
  • Proficiency with computers and various software programs essential.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations while meeting deadlines.
