Job Description

Overview

  • Lead fund accounting operations for a high-profile private equity client in a hybrid work arrangement.
  • Drive financial reporting and investor communication processes for complex private equity structures.
  • Collaborate with executive-level clients and internal teams to ensure seamless fund administration.
  • Manage and mentor a team of accountants, fostering professional growth and excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP and partnership agreements, delivering accurate financial statements.
  • Contribute to the expansion of the Dallas office, shaping its operational framework.
  • Utilize advanced technology platforms to enhance efficiency and quality of fund administration.
  • Engage in strategic projects, leveraging expertise in mezzanine, credit, and loan origination investments.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Direct daily accounting and fund administration activities for multiple investment sponsors.
  • Prepare and review workpapers, accruals, financial statements, and investor allocations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, auditors, lawyers, and banking personnel.
  • Lead and coach a team of accountants across various levels of expertise.
  • Oversee fund deliverables setup, including capital calls, distributions, and waterfall calculations.
  • Ensure thorough review and sign-off of deliverables before final approval.
  • Manage special projects and adapt to dynamic changes in processes and procedures.
  • Utilize advanced Microsoft Suite tools for reporting and communication tasks.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance; CPA certification preferred.
  • 8+ years of fund accounting experience, with 5+ years in supervisory roles.
  • Expertise in private equity fund administration and complex financial products.
  • Proficiency in capital calls, distributions, and waterfall model calculations.
  • Strong understanding of partnership agreements and investment legal documents.
  • Advanced skills in US GAAP reporting for investment funds and companies.
  • Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
