Overview

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Allocate and reconcile CDS trades, ensuring accurate flow to ICE and TradeServ DTCC for confirmation.
  • Reconcile daily trades, investment positions, and cash balances with external parties like banks and custodians.
  • Review and process OTC confirmations using platforms such as TradeServ, ICE, CME, and MarkitWire.
  • Maintain data integrity by updating security master, fee schedules, and holiday calendars.
  • Assist in developing and enhancing operational processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Run end-of-day PNL processes, identifying and resolving issues impacting financial outcomes.
  • Troubleshoot issues with counterparties and support desks, ensuring seamless operational workflows.
  • Communicate effectively with traders and portfolio managers to align operational and trading objectives.
  • Own and manage operational processes independently after sufficient training.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree required, preferably in finance or related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in operations, with 3-5 years in buy-side operations.
  • Proficiency in TradeServ and ICELink platforms, with troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of credit default swaps (CDS) and middle office operations.
  • Experience communicating with traders and portfolio managers to support operational needs.
  • Knowledge of VBA and reconciliation tools considered a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset for operational accuracy.
  • Familiarity with hybrid work arrangements and flexibility in scheduling.
