Overview

  • Join a dynamic healthcare team as a Registered Nurse, providing clinical supervision and professional nursing care to patients in a collaborative environment.
  • Organize and oversee patient care team activities, including delegation, mentoring, and scheduling, ensuring high-quality care standards are met.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments, coordinate patient care plans, and maintain compliance with nursing standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to enhance patient safety, satisfaction, and overall quality of care.
  • Manage clinical supplies, prepare equipment, and assist physicians during patient examinations and treatments.
  • Document patient progress in electronic health records and conduct point-of-care tests as per protocol.
  • Coordinate daily team huddles, review patient charts, and address missing labs or reports effectively.
  • Ensure adherence to infection control policies, environmental safety standards, and patient confidentiality guidelines.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Provide clinical supervision to Licensed Practical Nurses and Medical Assistants, ensuring tasks are delegated and completed appropriately.
  • Assist in applicant screening, staff selection, training, and performance evaluations, contributing to team development.
  • Administer medications and treatments, plan and coordinate patient care interventions, and maintain age-specific considerations.
  • Prepare and manage materials for team huddles, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
  • Review patient charts, address open orders, and ensure completeness of lab reports for optimal patient care.
  • Manage clinical supplies inventory and coordinate with the Manager, Nursing for operational needs.
  • Document patient progress notes in electronic health records within specified timelines.
  • Ensure nursing practices comply with local, state, and federal guidelines and organizational policies.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; current unrestricted RN license in New York mandatory.
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience in hospital or ambulatory settings preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; knowledge of infection control and patient confidentiality policies essential.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records documentation and medical chart reporting required.
  • Strong communication skills for patient care and team collaboration mandatory.
  • Ability to work independently within scope of practice, make clinical decisions, and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of nursing theory, regulations, and practices to evaluate and provide patient care required.
  • Skill in identifying problems and recommending solutions to enhance patient care and safety.
