Overview

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Assist providers with clinical services including vital signs, phlebotomy, and diagnostic testing.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as patient registration, scheduling, and insurance verification.
  • Support patient care campaigns and initiatives to close gaps in care.
  • Coordinate referrals and follow-ups with external specialists and labs.
  • Document patient care information accurately in electronic medical records.
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and adhere to healthcare regulations and policies.
  • Provide excellent customer service through professional communication and problem-solving.
  • Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Participate in meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development.

Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or eligibility for national certification exam required.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant in an ambulatory care setting required.
  • Proficiency in navigating electronic medical records systems required.
  • Ability to perform clinical tasks such as vital signs, phlebotomy, and diagnostic testing.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
