Overview

  • Lead and oversee billing operations for a dynamic legal organization, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all processes.
  • Supervise and manage a team of billing analysts, fostering collaboration and achieving timely invoice generation.
  • Administer and troubleshoot billing systems, ensuring seamless operations and user support.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, clients, and teams to resolve billing discrepancies and uphold compliance standards.
  • Ensure adherence to established timelines and standards for billing processes and reporting.
  • Provide guidance and support to legal staff on billing processes and systems, enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to the organization's success by maintaining high standards in billing practices and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee daily billing operations, ensuring efficient execution and accuracy in all processes.
  • Supervise billing analysts, ensuring timely and accurate invoice generation and team collaboration.
  • Manage billing systems, including user setup, security profiles, and troubleshooting system-related queries.
  • Ensure proper month-end and year-end closing processes, including required reporting and compliance.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and clients to resolve billing discrepancies and system-related issues effectively.
  • Administer e-billing platforms, ensuring compliance with client-specific billing requirements and accuracy.
  • Audit invoices for accuracy and compliance, ensuring billing is completed within established timelines.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to attorneys, billing staff, and legal assistants regarding billing processes.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree required, preferably in a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of billing management experience, with 7 years preferred.
  • Experience in law firm billing is required, with proficiency in SurePoint and Intapp preferred.
  • Strong technical skills in managing billing software and troubleshooting issues effectively.
  • Proven leadership and team management experience, fostering collaboration and achieving results.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to address complex billing challenges.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
