Accounting Associate

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Manage month-end close processes, including accounts payable and employee expenses.
• Perform financial analysis and variance reporting against prior periods.
• Post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and oversee travel and expense systems.
• Maintain documentation of internal controls to meet audit requirements.
• Support the implementation of SOX compliance and risk assessment controls.
• Conduct industry research to enhance business processes and practices.
• Assist with external audit requests and ad hoc accounting projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize accounting operations.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required.
• 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the technology industry.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and experience with NetSuite preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with accounting systems.
• Experience with accounts payable and month-end processes essential.
• Startup or high-growth company experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems independently.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively.
