Job Description

Overview

  • Support business development initiatives for a professional services firm, collaborating with teams to enhance client relationships and promote organizational growth.
  • Coordinate proposals, pitches, and presentations to prospective clients, ensuring high-quality deliverables that align with strategic objectives.
  • Assist in planning and executing client events, webinars, and networking activities to foster engagement and visibility.
  • Develop and manage submissions for industry directories and awards, showcasing firm achievements and expertise.
  • Maintain and update the Experience Database, ensuring accurate and comprehensive data for business development purposes.
  • Draft, edit, and proofread marketing materials, ensuring consistency and professionalism in all communications.
  • Track and report outcomes of business development activities, providing insights to inform future strategies.
  • Support administrative tasks such as expense processing and calendar management for the business development team.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Collaborate with the business development team to create compelling proposals and presentations for prospective clients.
  • Coordinate and execute client-focused events, including webinars and networking receptions.
  • Manage submissions for industry directories and awards, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Maintain and update the firm's Experience Database with relevant data and case information.
  • Draft and proofread marketing materials, ensuring alignment with firm branding and messaging.
  • Track and analyze business development activity outcomes to provide actionable insights.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including processing expenses and managing team calendars.
  • Support the creation and distribution of internal newsletters and client alerts.

Job Requirements

  • Associate degree in a relevant field, with a preference for candidates with legal or professional services backgrounds.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development or marketing, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with the ability to navigate firm-specific systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a client-focused approach.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team dynamic, demonstrating flexibility and a positive attitude.
  • Experience coordinating events and managing submissions for industry directories is highly desirable.
  • Willingness to work extended hours occasionally to meet project deadlines.
