Job Description

Overview

  • Lead financial operations for private equity funds in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
  • Manage fund accounting, financial reporting, and capital call/distribution processes.
  • Provide guidance and training to accounting staff and oversee team performance.
  • Collaborate directly with General Partners to address fund-related inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and partnership agreements.
  • Contribute to organizational growth through forecasting and budgeting expertise.
  • Work remotely with preference for candidates in Pacific or Mountain Time zones.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare and distribute quarterly financial statements to Limited Partners.
  • Calculate and issue capital call notices and distribution proceeds.
  • Review investment packages to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting team members, providing training and support.
  • Collaborate with auditors to facilitate fund audits and confirmations.
  • Interpret partnership agreements and manage complex waterfall calculations.
  • Develop and implement training programs for team members.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients and internal stakeholders.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of accounting experience, with 3+ years in supervisory roles.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and partnership accounting software.
  • Experience with private equity fund operations and complex client interactions.
  • Strong multitasking, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills for professional client and team interactions.
  • Ability to work remotely, preferably in Pacific or Mountain Time zones.
