Job Description

Overview

  • Lead financial operations and reporting in a dynamic oil and gas environment.
  • Collaborate with management to ensure compliance and high-quality financial reviews.
  • Supervise outsourced accounting teams and oversee AP, JIB, and revenue cycles.
  • Provide guidance on financial reporting and property-related reconciliations.
  • Manage treasury functions, including wire and ACH transfers approvals.
  • Prepare PBC schedules and liaise with audit and tax firms.
  • Publish detailed property reports and maintain well-to-well status updates.
  • Execute special projects and communicate accounting insights to management.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee JIB and revenue cycles, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Supervise outsourced accounting teams and ensure adherence to internal controls.
  • Review property-related account reconciliations and generate financial reports.
  • Manage AP, JIB, and revenue processes, including staff training and development.
  • Conduct treasury functions, including wire and ACH transfer setups and approvals.
  • Deliver PBC schedules and interface with audit and tax preparation firms.
  • Publish property reports and maintain detailed well-to-well status updates.
  • Execute special projects and provide insights on accounting issues to management.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent industry experience.
  • 8 to 12 years of managerial experience in oil and gas accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of Bolo and upstream E&P company operations.
  • Experience with revenue accrual concepts and severance tax reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook applications.
  • Excellent communication skills for interfacing with management and external parties.
  • Ability to audit, format, model, and analyze large data sets effectively.
  • Capability to prioritize tasks and meet business needs efficiently.
