Overview
- Serve as the Church Administrator, managing office operations and supporting the pastor in administrative tasks.
- Coordinate financial activities, including payroll processing and donor record management.
- Maintain church records and ensure compliance with Safe Church practices.
- Create and manage digital and print communication materials for internal and external platforms.
- Update and maintain the church website and social media channels.
- Train and coordinate office volunteers, ensuring smooth operations.
- Collaborate with staff and volunteers to optimize church activities and policies.
- Operate within the annual budget and manage vendor relationships effectively.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Manage office operations, including scheduling, supplies, and equipment maintenance.
- Coordinate payroll, tax documentation, and vendor payments with accuracy.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial and personal records.
- Produce and distribute communication materials, including newsletters and social media updates.
- Support the pastor with worship material preparation and correspondence.
- Ensure compliance with abuse awareness and prevention protocols.
- Facilitate background checks and maintain safety standards.
- Collaborate with committees to align policies and procedures effectively.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in administrative roles; 3 years preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and cloud-based tools like Google Drive.
- Experience managing social media platforms and creating digital content.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multitask.
