Job Description

Overview

  • Serve as the Church Administrator, managing office operations and supporting the pastor in administrative tasks.
  • Coordinate financial activities, including payroll processing and donor record management.
  • Maintain church records and ensure compliance with Safe Church practices.
  • Create and manage digital and print communication materials for internal and external platforms.
  • Update and maintain the church website and social media channels.
  • Train and coordinate office volunteers, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Collaborate with staff and volunteers to optimize church activities and policies.
  • Operate within the annual budget and manage vendor relationships effectively.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage office operations, including scheduling, supplies, and equipment maintenance.
  • Coordinate payroll, tax documentation, and vendor payments with accuracy.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial and personal records.
  • Produce and distribute communication materials, including newsletters and social media updates.
  • Support the pastor with worship material preparation and correspondence.
  • Ensure compliance with abuse awareness and prevention protocols.
  • Facilitate background checks and maintain safety standards.
  • Collaborate with committees to align policies and procedures effectively.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in administrative roles; 3 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and cloud-based tools like Google Drive.
  • Experience managing social media platforms and creating digital content.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and Safe Church practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with financial software and donor record management preferred.
  • Flexibility to work remotely for up to 8 hours per week.
