Overview
- Lead a dynamic Accounts Payable team in a growing organization with hybrid work flexibility.
- Manage mid-to-high volume AP processes and ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance procedural effectiveness and internal controls.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize purchase order processing and discrepancy resolution.
- Supervise and mentor a team of 3-4 AP staff, fostering professional growth and performance excellence.

Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Oversee vendor invoice processing, ensuring timely payments and accurate ledger maintenance.
- Develop and maintain AP policies, ensuring adherence to internal controls and compliance standards.
- Manage AP month-end closing processes and prepare financial reports for management review.
- Supervise payment accounts, including checks, wire transfers, and ACH transactions.
- Track and report AP-related metrics to monitor departmental performance and identify improvement areas.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure efficient purchase order matching and discrepancy resolution.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to align team objectives and address operational challenges.
- Hire, train, and evaluate AP staff, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of Accounts Payable experience, including 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Proficiency in U.S. GAAP and FASB regulations relevant to AP processes.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to lead and mentor a team, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
- Effective communication skills to interact with various organizational levels.
- Experience in a corporate accounting environment is preferred.
