Overview

  • Lead and manage operating room surgical services, ensuring optimal patient care and safety.
  • Implement best practice models and patient care delivery systems across multiple locations.
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to achieve seamless care delivery.
  • Monitor and allocate resources effectively to support clinical operations.
  • Maintain compliance with legal and regulatory standards in healthcare practices.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee daily operations of surgical services, ensuring adherence to clinical and utilization standards.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care in a 24/7 environment.
  • Develop and manage budgets, ensuring cost control and resource optimization.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and safety.
  • Provide clinical supervision and maintain competency standards for staff.
  • Facilitate collaboration with stakeholders to align care delivery with organizational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines in surgical services.
  • Manage emergency preparedness programs and staff training.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum five years of patient care delivery experience, with four years in leadership roles.
  • Registered Nurse License and Basic Life Support certification required.
  • Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of patient safety, nursing principles, and healthcare compliance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and healthcare information systems.
  • Experience in project/program management and operational budget oversight.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and conflict resolution skills.
