Job Description

Overview

  • Coordinate billing operations for a healthcare organization, ensuring accurate claims submission and payment processing.
  • Support accounts receivable management, including data entry and reconciliation tasks.
  • Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients, ensuring compliance with policies.
  • Utilize E-Paces system for billing and insurance verification processes.
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve billing discrepancies and improve workflow efficiency.
  • Contribute to maintaining organized and accurate billing records and documentation.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff regarding billing inquiries.
  • Assist in cleaning up accounts receivable and processing checks effectively.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Submit insurance claims accurately and timely to ensure prompt reimbursement.
  • Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility using E-Paces system.
  • Process payments, including checks, and reconcile accounts receivable.
  • Address billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies with insurance providers.
  • Maintain organized and accurate billing records for audit and reporting purposes.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize billing processes and workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare billing regulations and guidelines.
  • Assist in cleaning up accounts receivable and improving financial accuracy.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; additional certifications in billing preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in billing; 2 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in E-Paces system and insurance verification processes.
  • Strong knowledge of claims submission and accounts receivable management.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate data processing.
  • Ability to work on-site during standard business hours, Monday to Friday.
  • Effective communication skills for addressing billing inquiries and team collaboration.
  • Experience with healthcare billing regulations and compliance standards.
