Overview

  • Serve as a Senior Payroll Specialist in a contract role, ensuring accurate payroll processing and compliance with regulations.
  • Utilize your expertise in payroll systems such as ADP, Kronos, and UKGPro to optimize operations.
  • Collaborate with the payroll team to maintain data integrity and resolve discrepancies effectively.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of payroll policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with the Director of Payroll to ensure seamless payroll operations.
  • Leverage advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables, for data analysis and reporting.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior payroll staff, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and standards.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of payroll data and sensitive information.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Process payroll accurately and on time for all employees, adhering to organizational policies.
  • Utilize ADP ReportWriter for generating detailed payroll reports and analytics.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and address employee inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure payroll alignment with organizational goals.
  • Implement and maintain payroll systems, ensuring data accuracy and system functionality.
  • Conduct audits of payroll processes to identify and rectify errors or inefficiencies.
  • Prepare and submit payroll-related tax filings and compliance documents.
  • Train and mentor junior payroll staff, enhancing team capabilities and performance.
  • Stay updated on payroll regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency.

Job Requirements

  • Associate of Arts (AA) degree or equivalent educational background in a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of payroll experience, with 4 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in payroll systems such as ADP, Kronos, and UKGPro.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables, for data analysis.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities to manage payroll operations effectively.
  • Experience with ADP ReportWriter for generating payroll reports and analytics.
  • Ability to work onsite during standard business hours, ensuring availability for team collaboration.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations and compliance standards.
