Job Description

Overview

  • Support hedge fund operations with a focus on structured finance and mortgage-related strategies.
  • Collaborate with a small, dynamic team to manage complex investment structures.
  • Maintain risk reporting functions, including counterparty exposures and collateral management.
  • Perform trade flow management for various fixed-income securities.
  • Assist in monthly valuation procedures and provide analyses to senior management.
  • Contribute to operational efficiency and accuracy across investment strategies.
  • Engage in reconciliation of cash and positions with brokers and fund administrators.
  • Research and resolve discrepancies in principal and interest payments.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Perform three-way reconciliation of cash and positions across systems and stakeholders.
  • Manage trade flows for fixed-income securities, ensuring timely settlement and resolution.
  • Process principal and interest payments and investigate trade discrepancies.
  • Maintain and update risk reporting functions, including leverage and position limits.
  • Collaborate on monthly valuation procedures and reporting to senior management.
  • Provide detailed analyses and reports to support decision-making processes.
  • Work with operations team to enhance efficiency and accuracy in processes.
  • Assist in collateral management and cash reserve calculations.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree with a strong academic background.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in hedge fund operations or structured finance.
  • Strong quantitative and computational skills for data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work effectively across management levels.
  • Experience with settlements or exposure to Geneva software is preferred.
  • Ability to adapt to a hybrid work environment and collaborate effectively.
  • Knowledge of fixed-income securities and trade flow management processes.
