Job Description

Overview

  • Lead procurement processes for goods, materials, and services, ensuring cost efficiency and quality.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including maintaining lists, negotiating contracts, and pricing agreements.
  • Conduct market research to identify opportunities for savings and operational improvements.
  • Oversee inventory levels to ensure timely fulfillment of incoming orders.
  • Analyze purchasing trends to forecast demand and optimize procurement strategies.
  • Ensure accuracy in purchase order documentation, including pricing and shipment details.
  • Coordinate logistics to meet shipping and arrival schedules, addressing delays or cancellations.
  • Develop and implement efficient purchasing processes to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Participate in additional projects as required to support procurement operations.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in procurement or related field; 8 years preferred.
  • Proven expertise in vendor management, contract negotiation, and pricing strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills for market research and demand forecasting.
  • Experience in managing inventory levels and ensuring timely order fulfillment.
  • Proficiency in creating and maintaining accurate purchase order documentation.
  • Knowledge of logistics coordination and shipping processes.
