Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence.
  • Obtain, organize, and manage medical records and documentation for case preparation and trial.
  • Schedule depositions, meetings, and court appearances, ensuring efficient coordination.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients and witnesses for information gathering and updates.
  • Conduct legal and background research to support case strategies and development.
  • Coordinate medical lien identification, verification, and resolution processes.
  • Track and maintain organized logs of case expenses, client medical costs, and critical deadlines.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to ensure seamless case management and resolution.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent experience in legal support roles.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant medical malpractice litigation experience, with 5 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and litigation technology tools for efficient case management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective client and team interactions.
  • Proven legal research skills, with proficiency in platforms like LexisNexis preferred.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and demands in a fast-paced legal environment.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities in complex legal scenarios.
