Overview
- Manage nursing operations and practice for the Operating Room department, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care, satisfaction, and outcomes through effective communication and coordination.
- Oversee resource utilization, including staffing and materials, to provide safe and cost-effective care.
- Promote professional development and competency of nursing and administrative staff through training and performance evaluations.

- Develop and implement unit-specific protocols, policies, and procedures to align with nursing practice trends.
- Participate in budget planning and financial management to meet departmental needs effectively.

Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Monitor unit operations, measure progress towards goals, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Advocate for patients and families, ensuring rights are respected and satisfaction issues addressed.
- Collaborate with Human Resources for recruitment, hiring, and staff development initiatives.
- Evaluate staff performance, provide constructive feedback, and facilitate professional growth opportunities.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; RN license in state of employment or compact.
- Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with 6 years preferred; managerial experience required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; advanced certifications preferred.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory standards, including Joint Commission requirements.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, staff scheduling, and resource allocation effectively.
- Experience in process improvement and policy development within healthcare settings.
