Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage workers' compensation cases, including intake, evidence gathering, and case preparation for hearings or trials.
  • Investigate cases thoroughly, ensuring all relevant details are documented and presented effectively.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, insurance adjusters, attorneys, and court officials.
  • Utilize CompHub for filing and managing workers' compensation claims in Maryland.
  • Support attorneys in preparing legal documents and correspondence using Microsoft Office and Adobe tools.
  • Handle personal injury cases as needed, contributing to the firm's diverse practice areas.
  • Ensure compliance with legal standards and deadlines in all case-related activities.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to a collaborative work environment.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 3-5 years of paralegal experience.
  • Proficiency in workers' compensation case management and familiarity with CompHub.
  • Experience in personal injury cases and bilingual abilities in Spanish are preferred.
  • Strong organizational and written communication skills for effective case handling.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe software.
