Job Description

Overview

  • Serve as a Project Accountant, managing financial aspects of construction projects and ensuring accurate reporting.
  • Collaborate with project managers to oversee budgets, forecasts, and cost control measures.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies in all accounting practices.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports and analyses to support decision-making processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of project expenditures and reconcile accounts regularly.
  • Work closely with the finance team to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
  • Provide support during audits and assist in resolving financial discrepancies.
  • Contribute to the financial success of projects by ensuring effective accounting practices.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial accuracy throughout project lifecycles.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to stakeholders, highlighting key metrics and insights.
  • Collaborate with project teams to forecast costs and allocate resources effectively.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in accounting; 4 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting tools.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance standards.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail in financial management.
  • Ability to work on-site and collaborate effectively with project teams.
  • Effective communication skills for presenting financial data and insights.
  • Experience in construction project accounting is a plus.
