Job Description

Overview

  • Serve as a Senior Client Account Specialist, focusing on billing and collection strategies for assigned partners and practice groups.
  • Collaborate with partners, practice group leaders, and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely billing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with client requirements, including outside counsel guidelines and billing agreements.
  • Monitor accounts receivable, address underpayments, and resolve billing issues effectively.
  • Prepare detailed billing reports and maintain accurate financial documentation.
  • Engage in ad hoc client analysis projects and support special initiatives as needed.
  • Participate in billing system upgrades, testing functionality, and ensuring seamless operations.
  • Work in a hybrid environment with two days onsite weekly, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Drive billing and collection processes to ensure timely invoicing and payment for assigned partners and groups.
  • Monitor accounts receivable, address discrepancies, and ensure compliance with client agreements.
  • Prepare and update finance reports, providing accurate data for senior management.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate client invoices and adherence to submission requirements.
  • Lead regular meetings with partners to discuss billing and accounts receivable updates.
  • Ensure successful e-billing submissions through designated platforms or client systems.
  • Support client account managers with operational tasks and policy adherence.
  • Document client requirements to streamline collaboration and ensure clarity in billing processes.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related fields required.
  • 4-5 years of billing and client relationship experience in a professional service or law firm.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word, with strong technical billing skills.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Strong customer service orientation for internal and external clients.
  • Demonstrates leadership characteristics and proactive problem-solving abilities.
