Job Description
Overview
- Collaborate with the Fund Accounting Team to manage financial accounting and reporting for investment partnerships.
- Perform daily general ledger accounting duties, including booking transactions, accruals, and journal entries.
- Support cash management activities, including cash flow planning and bank reconciliations.
- Assist with capital call and distribution processes, including investor notices and transaction recording.
- Contribute to preparation of investor reporting, annual audits, and compliance reporting.
- Engage in spreadsheet modeling, analysis, and special projects as needed.
- Utilize data analytic software such as PowerBI and Alteryx to enhance reporting capabilities.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Perform daily accounting tasks including transaction booking, accruals, and journal entries.
- Assist with reconciliation processes during period-end close activities.
- Support cash management operations, including planning and bank reconciliations.
- Manage capital call and distribution processes, including investor notices and transaction allocations.
- Track investment sales and allocate proceeds based on ownership percentages.
- Prepare investor reporting, annual audits, and compliance documentation.
- Utilize advanced Excel functions for data analysis and reporting.
- Collaborate on special projects to enhance operational efficiency and reporting accuracy.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting or related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in public or private accounting, preferably in private equity.
- CPA certification or actively pursuing CPA designation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions like pivot tables and lookups.
- Knowledge of PowerBI, Alteryx, or similar data analytic software is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
