Job Description

Overview

  • Collaborate with the Fund Accounting Team to manage financial accounting and reporting for investment partnerships.
  • Perform daily general ledger accounting duties, including booking transactions, accruals, and journal entries.
  • Support cash management activities, including cash flow planning and bank reconciliations.
  • Assist with capital call and distribution processes, including investor notices and transaction recording.
  • Contribute to preparation of investor reporting, annual audits, and compliance reporting.
  • Engage in spreadsheet modeling, analysis, and special projects as needed.
  • Utilize data analytic software such as PowerBI and Alteryx to enhance reporting capabilities.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Perform daily accounting tasks including transaction booking, accruals, and journal entries.
  • Assist with reconciliation processes during period-end close activities.
  • Support cash management operations, including planning and bank reconciliations.
  • Manage capital call and distribution processes, including investor notices and transaction allocations.
  • Track investment sales and allocate proceeds based on ownership percentages.
  • Prepare investor reporting, annual audits, and compliance documentation.
  • Utilize advanced Excel functions for data analysis and reporting.
  • Collaborate on special projects to enhance operational efficiency and reporting accuracy.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in public or private accounting, preferably in private equity.
  • CPA certification or actively pursuing CPA designation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions like pivot tables and lookups.
  • Knowledge of PowerBI, Alteryx, or similar data analytic software is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
