Overview

  • The Senior Tax role involves managing complex tax returns for diverse clients, including high-net-worth individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
  • Contribute to a boutique public accounting firm with a focus on delivering exceptional tax and accounting services.
  • Work closely with experienced professionals, including former Big 4 and national firm experts.
  • Engage with a variety of industries such as real estate, manufacturing, technology, and entertainment.
  • Utilize QuickBooks and Lacerte software to prepare and adjust client books for tax filings.
  • Opportunity to expand skills in accounting services, audits, and financial adjustments.
  • Collaborate on multi-state tax filings and complex K-1s for partnerships and S corporations.
  • Contribute to the firm's growth and succession planning by managing client portfolios.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, and C corporations.
  • Adjust client books and records to ensure accuracy and readiness for tax filings.
  • Utilize QuickBooks and Lacerte software for efficient tax preparation and accounting services.
  • Conduct multi-state tax filings and manage intricate K-1s for diverse client portfolios.
  • Collaborate with partners and team members to deliver high-quality tax solutions.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on complex tax issues and regulations.
  • Engage with clients across various industries, including real estate, manufacturing, and entertainment.
  • Support the firm's succession planning by managing and expanding client relationships.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting or related field is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in taxation and accounting; 5 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks is essential; experience with Lacerte software is advantageous.
  • CPA certification or parts thereof is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong technical skills in preparing complex tax returns and multi-state filings.
  • Ability to manage diverse client portfolios, including high-net-worth individuals and corporations.
  • Experience in adjusting client books and records for tax preparation.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with clients and team members.
