Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, and C corporations.
- Adjust client books and records to ensure accuracy and readiness for tax filings.
- Utilize QuickBooks and Lacerte software for efficient tax preparation and accounting services.
- Conduct multi-state tax filings and manage intricate K-1s for diverse client portfolios.
- Collaborate with partners and team members to deliver high-quality tax solutions.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on complex tax issues and regulations.
- Engage with clients across various industries, including real estate, manufacturing, and entertainment.
- Support the firm's succession planning by managing and expanding client relationships.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting or related field is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in taxation and accounting; 5 years preferred.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks is essential; experience with Lacerte software is advantageous.
- CPA certification or parts thereof is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong technical skills in preparing complex tax returns and multi-state filings.
- Ability to manage diverse client portfolios, including high-net-worth individuals and corporations.
- Experience in adjusting client books and records for tax preparation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with clients and team members.
