Overview

  • Join a leading financial services firm as a Senior Fund Accountant, contributing to fund-level accounting and reporting across diverse investment vehicles.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic projects and routine operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial processes.
  • Play a key role in preparing quarterly fund financial statements, partner capital statements, and investor reporting packages.
  • Engage with external auditors during annual audits to ensure transparency and adherence to financial regulations.
  • Contribute to automation initiatives to optimize fund accounting and reporting workflows.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare and review quarterly fund financial statements and related investor reporting packages.
  • Calculate and reconcile carried interest allocations, including waterfall models and complex partnership allocations.
  • Support quarterly forecasting, variance analysis, and ad hoc reporting for senior management.
  • Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts using accounting systems like Investran.
  • Prepare and review tax workpapers to support fund tax compliance and estimates.
  • Contribute to process automation initiatives to streamline fund accounting and reporting.
  • Collaborate with finance, tax, and operations teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA certification strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in public accounting; Big 4 experience preferred.
  • Experience with private equity or venture capital funds, including carried interest and waterfall mechanics.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, macros, and complex formulas.
  • Proficiency in fund accounting systems; Investran experience is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with a detail-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Self-starter with adaptability to a fast-paced environment.
