Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Prepare and review quarterly fund financial statements and related investor reporting packages.
- Calculate and reconcile carried interest allocations, including waterfall models and complex partnership allocations.
- Support quarterly forecasting, variance analysis, and ad hoc reporting for senior management.
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts using accounting systems like Investran.
- Prepare and review tax workpapers to support fund tax compliance and estimates.
- Contribute to process automation initiatives to streamline fund accounting and reporting.
- Collaborate with finance, tax, and operations teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA certification strongly preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in public accounting; Big 4 experience preferred.
- Experience with private equity or venture capital funds, including carried interest and waterfall mechanics.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, macros, and complex formulas.
- Proficiency in fund accounting systems; Investran experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical and communication skills with a detail-oriented approach.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Self-starter with adaptability to a fast-paced environment.
