Overview
- Support the Managing Clerk in coordinating court filings, legal documentation, and departmental operations in a dynamic legal environment.
- Assist in managing departmental calendars, ensuring accurate scheduling of court dates and deadlines.
- Prepare, file, and serve legal documents across federal, state, and local courts, including e-filing processes.
- Monitor compliance with court rules and procedural requirements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal standards.
- Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and court personnel to coordinate case logistics and filings.
- Maintain organized case files, records, and databases, ensuring efficient retrieval and management.
- Conduct docket searches and retrieve case-related documents to support legal proceedings.
- Provide training to junior staff or clerks as directed, fostering professional development within the team.
- Handle administrative tasks such as document formatting, proofreading, and distribution to ensure quality and accuracy.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 2–5 years of experience in legal or clerical support roles, with court filing systems expertise.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal management software like CourtAlert, PACER, NYSCEF, CM/ECF.
- Strong understanding of civil and criminal court procedures and legal processes.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage complex schedules and tasks.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in documentation and filings.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment, balancing on-site and remote responsibilities.
