Overview
- Assist in various human resource functions, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and personnel records management.
- Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Coordinate employee events such as appreciation days, holiday parties, and monthly activities.
- Manage the recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, and interview scheduling.
- Facilitate onboarding and orientation for new hires and temporary staff.
- Ensure accurate payroll and benefit administration, including invoicing reconciliation.
- Maintain personnel files and oversee the offboarding process.
- Contribute to internal communications, including monthly newsletters and updates.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Lead recruiting efforts, coordinate with agencies, and manage candidate communications.
- Plan and facilitate employee events and activities to enhance engagement.
- Transmit payroll and salary changes to accounting and benefit carriers.
- Reconcile monthly benefit invoicing and ensure accuracy.
- Handle employment-related inquiries and refer sensitive matters appropriately.
- Administer leave paperwork and assist with compliance reporting.
- Manage personnel files and oversee exit interviews and termination processes.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and organizational policies.
Job Requirements
- Associate degree or equivalent experience in human resources or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of HR experience; 3 years preferred.
- Proficiency in Windows and MS Office applications.
- Strong organizational and planning skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and adapt to changing demands.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality.
