Overview
- Coordinate and support patient education and therapy initiation for rare genetic disease treatments.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and internal teams to ensure therapy adherence.
- Provide in-person and virtual education on treatment administration and disease awareness.
- Act as a liaison between patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
- Develop and implement strategies to overcome obstacles in therapy adherence.
- Participate in educational events to promote awareness of treatments.
- Contribute to the development of best practices and team strategies.

- Travel extensively to provide support and education to patients and clinics.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Conduct patient-level education on therapy administration, safety, and efficacy.
- Collaborate with account teams to facilitate therapy initiation and adherence.
- Provide motivational interviewing to empower patients in their health journey.
- Organize and participate in direct-to-patient educational events.
- Develop solutions to address therapy adherence challenges.
- Contribute to training and education initiatives for internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain relationships with patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of direct patient care experience in rare diseases.
- 2+ years of pharmaceutical experience as a patient educator.
- Strong interpersonal and motivational interviewing skills.
- Excellent presentation and communication abilities.
- Ability to travel up to 65% of the time for patient and clinic support.
- Valid driver’s license and successful background check.
- Action-oriented and adaptable to changing environments.
- Proficiency in healthcare systems and resource alignment.
