Job Description

Overview

  • Lead and manage the Telemetry Unit, ensuring optimal patient care and staff performance.
  • Implement best practice models and patient care delivery systems across multiple locations.
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers to achieve safe and effective patient care.
  • Monitor resource needs and manage equipment, supplies, and medications efficiently.
  • Maintain clinical expertise and provide supervision to ensure compliance and high standards of care.
  • Foster professional growth and succession planning within the team.
  • Drive continuous improvement in quality, safety, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in all aspects of care delivery.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop and implement strategies for patient care delivery and practice standards.
  • Facilitate collaboration among healthcare team members for optimal patient outcomes.
  • Oversee resource allocation and utilization across clinical areas.
  • Manage hospital administrative functions, including budget and compliance monitoring.
  • Lead emergency preparedness and recovery planning for the department.
  • Drive initiatives for operational improvements and technology process enhancements.
  • Ensure safe, standardized, and high-quality care delivery in a 24/7 operational environment.
  • Develop and monitor performance metrics aligned with organizational goals.
  • Provide leadership and accountability for nursing services and patient care delivery.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with a minimum of five years of clinical healthcare experience.
  • Four years of leadership experience, including managing teams and direct reports.
  • Registered Nurse License (California) and Basic Life Support certification required.
  • Preferred certifications include Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and ANCC certification in a related practice area.
  • Strong knowledge of patient safety, emergency preparedness, and healthcare quality standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and healthcare information systems.
  • Skilled in change management, business process improvement, and compliance management.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive performance improvements.
