Job Description

Overview

  • Provide expert behavioral analysis services to children in a school setting, ensuring effective intervention plans and measurable progress.
  • Collaborate with families and professionals to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each child's needs.
  • Conduct functional behavior assessments and create comprehensive behavior intervention strategies.
  • Supervise and train behavior technicians to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Analyze collected data to evaluate progress and make informed decisions for treatment adjustments.
  • Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in applied behavior analysis.
  • Work within a supportive and collaborative team environment to achieve client goals.
  • Travel within Nassau County as needed to provide services and support.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Conduct detailed functional behavior assessments to identify behavioral challenges and their root causes.
  • Develop and implement effective behavior intervention plans for children in school settings.
  • Provide direct supervision and training to behavior technicians to ensure adherence to intervention plans.
  • Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to align treatment strategies.
  • Collect and analyze behavioral data to monitor progress and refine intervention plans.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
  • Participate in professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure compliance with ethical and professional standards in all activities.

Job Requirements

  • Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification is required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in applied behavior analysis; 2 years preferred.
  • Experience working with children with autism and other developmental disabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with families and professionals.
  • Dedication to improving the lives of clients and their families.
  • Ability to travel within Nassau County as needed for service delivery.
  • Knowledge of current research and best practices in applied behavior analysis.
