Job Description

Overview

  • Lead the financial planning and analysis function, driving strategic insights and decision-making for organizational growth and sustainability.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align financial strategies with organizational objectives and mission-driven goals.
  • Develop annual operating budgets, long-term financial projections, and reforecasting processes to ensure financial stability.
  • Oversee treasury management, optimizing liquidity, asset/liability alignment, and compliance with financial covenants.
  • Provide mentorship and leadership to the FP&A team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Act as a key participant in organizational financial strategy discussions, supporting impactful decision-making.
  • Ensure effective communication of complex financial information to diverse audiences, including senior leadership and board members.
  • Support audit and tax return processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop and manage the organization's budgeting process, providing detailed guidance and proposing strategies for resource allocation.
  • Create financial models to support strategic initiatives, including M&A activity, loan portfolio management, and investment strategies.
  • Analyze financial trends, performance indicators, and budget variances to inform strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Manage asset/liability matching, capital liquidity, and compliance with financial covenants.
  • Develop and implement investment and treasury management strategies to maximize financial returns.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial planning with organizational goals and priorities.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the FP&A team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure optimal functionality and integration of FP&A software and financial systems.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; advanced degree (MBA, CFA, CPA) preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in FP&A, budgeting, or treasury management, with at least 2 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proficiency in FP&A software, financial systems, and advanced financial modeling techniques.
  • Expertise in asset/liability management, liquidity optimization, and interest rate risk management.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience in nonprofit financial management and reporting requirements is highly desirable.
  • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information effectively.
