Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Room patients and assist physicians in preparing for procedures and examinations.
- Collect and document patient history, vital signs, and relevant medical information promptly.
- Educate patients on healthcare procedures, treatments, and preventive measures.
- Assist physicians during diagnostic procedures and treatments, ensuring patient comfort.
- Disinfect and sterilize medical instruments, equipment, and reusable supplies.
- Maintain inventory of medical supplies and ensure availability in designated areas.
- Report any issues affecting quality care delivery to the supervisor promptly.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by the supervisor to support healthcare operations.
Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
- Associate of Science (AS) degree in Nursing or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with 4 years preferred.
- Experience in obstetrics nursing is highly desirable.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with physicians, patients, and healthcare staff.
- Proficient in maintaining and managing medical supplies and equipment.
