Overview

  • Provide exceptional nursing care to patients in an obstetrics setting, ensuring quality and safety in all healthcare services.
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive patient care and education.
  • Support diagnostic procedures and treatments, maintaining a patient-centered approach.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Room patients and assist physicians in preparing for procedures and examinations.
  • Collect and document patient history, vital signs, and relevant medical information promptly.
  • Educate patients on healthcare procedures, treatments, and preventive measures.
  • Assist physicians during diagnostic procedures and treatments, ensuring patient comfort.
  • Disinfect and sterilize medical instruments, equipment, and reusable supplies.
  • Maintain inventory of medical supplies and ensure availability in designated areas.
  • Report any issues affecting quality care delivery to the supervisor promptly.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by the supervisor to support healthcare operations.

Job Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
  • Associate of Science (AS) degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with 4 years preferred.
  • Experience in obstetrics nursing is highly desirable.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with physicians, patients, and healthcare staff.
  • Proficient in maintaining and managing medical supplies and equipment.
