Overview
- Lead therapeutic services for a residential program serving youth aged 12–18 with complex mental health diagnoses.
- Oversee clinical and milieu treatment, ensuring alignment and integration of therapeutic practices.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support educational and emotional growth of residents.
- Develop and implement policies promoting trauma-informed care and efficient service delivery.
- Supervise Assistant Directors and integrate unit staff with clinical service teams.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation, agency, local, state, and federal regulations.
- Promote collaboration, accountability, and a mission-driven environment.
- Coordinate meetings and oversee operations to maintain program standards.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Provide clinical and administrative supervision to clinical and milieu leadership teams.
- Facilitate comprehensive treatment planning, unit meetings, and discharge conferences.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists to create and implement clinical training standards.
- Monitor compliance with regulations and actively participate in quality improvement strategies.
- Supervise staff performance evaluations, hiring, training, and disciplinary actions.
- Prepare programs for audits and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
- Act as a liaison to residents’ families and external partners to ensure continuity of care.
- Promote safety, teamwork, and therapeutic structure within the facility.
Job Requirements
- Master of Social Work degree with LCSW, Psychologist, or Psychiatrist certification.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working with emotionally disturbed adolescents.
- At least 2 years’ supervisory experience in a residential setting.
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and therapeutic practices.
- Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
- Ability to lead interdisciplinary teams and promote collaboration.
- Knowledge of compliance standards and quality assurance procedures.
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
