Job Description

Overview

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care in a dynamic clinical setting, ensuring patient education and support.
  • Assist practitioners with examinations, minor surgeries, and therapeutic procedures.
  • Perform phlebotomy, administer medications, and conduct diagnostic tests.
  • Ensure compliance with National Patient Safety Goals and infection control standards.
  • Maintain and organize clinical supplies and equipment per protocols.
  • Support patient triage, discharge, and follow-up procedures.
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff for seamless patient care.
  • Travel to multiple clinical sites within Manhattan as required.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Perform clinical nursing functions, including patient education and administering treatments.
  • Document clinical observations and findings in patient medical records.
  • Assist providers with examinations and minor surgeries.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests such as EKGs, vision tests, and bone density scans.
  • Manage laboratory tests, referrals, and requisition forms.
  • Maintain clinical equipment and ensure proper sterilization protocols.
  • Order medications and supplies, ensuring accurate records of controlled substances.
  • Attend meetings and report occurrences to the Unit Manager.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and valid RN license in New York State.
  • Two years of experience in ambulatory settings such as clinics or health centers.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records software and MS Word and Outlook.
  • CPR and Phlebotomy certifications are required.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work effectively in busy environments.
  • Experience in family medicine, pediatrics, women’s health, and geriatrics preferred.
  • Willingness to travel to multiple sites within Manhattan.
