Job Description
Overview
- Support attorneys in the Labor and Employment department of a leading law firm.
- Collaborate with a dynamic team across multiple office locations.
- Handle administrative tasks including email management and document organization.
- Prepare pre-bills, manage expert time, and expense tracking.
- Generate Tables of Contents (TOCs) and Tables of Authorities (TOAs).
- Utilize advanced software tools for billing, document management, and expense tracking.
- Engage in a hybrid work environment with flexible arrangements.
- Participate in a structured interview process with HR and hiring managers.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Provide administrative support to one or more busy partners.
- Manage attorneys' emails and organize legal documents effectively.
- Prepare pre-bills and track expert time for billing purposes.
- Handle expense tracking using Chrome River software.
- Generate accurate TOCs and TOAs for legal documentation.
- Utilize Aderant or Elite software for time and billing tasks.
- Collaborate with secretaries and attorneys to ensure smooth operations.
- Adhere to firm policies and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree preferred but not mandatory.
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a legal administrative assistant in a law firm.
- Experience in Labor and Employment or Litigation practice areas preferred.
- Proficiency in Aderant, Chrome River, NetDocuments, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational and document management skills.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment with flexibility.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
