Job Description

Overview

  • Lead tax compliance and reporting for diverse funds, portfolio companies, and general partners.
  • Coordinate with external advisors for accurate and timely tax filings.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, international, and local tax regulations.
  • Manage tax audits and inquiries from regulatory authorities.
  • Develop processes for tracking tax payments and deductions.
  • Provide tax insights to internal teams for strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee tax-related due diligence for acquisitions and dispositions.
  • Maintain compliance for offshore entities and foreign LPs.
  • Collaborate on special projects and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare and file federal, state, international, and local tax returns.
  • Distribute annual federal and state K-1s to Fund LPs and internal GPs.
  • Coordinate quarterly estimated tax payments with external service providers.
  • Track payments and withholdings at the partner level.
  • Ensure compliance with FATCA, CRS, and Cayman registrations.
  • Analyze tax deductibility of operating expenses.
  • Document tax treatment for portfolio company transactions.
  • Develop relationships with finance, legal, and investment teams.
  • Manage tax-related special projects and initiatives.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
  • 7-10 years of experience in partnership tax compliance and reporting.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, local, and international tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with FATCA/CRS compliance and offshore entities.
  • Capability to lead tax-related initiatives and build processes.
