Overview
- The Intake Specialist will manage patient data collection and entry for efficient medical billing and health information management.
- This role involves conducting initial client assessments and directing them to appropriate services.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless intake process and accurate documentation.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing client concerns promptly and professionally.
- Work on-site during normal business hours, Monday through Friday.
- Engage in transitioning patients from MLTC to MAP, enhancing their healthcare experience.
- Support a dynamic team environment under the guidance of the Intake Director.
- Contribute to a temporary project with potential for extension based on performance.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Answer incoming calls and assist clients professionally and courteously.
- Gather necessary client information using phone systems to facilitate the intake process.
- Conduct initial assessments to determine client needs and direct them to appropriate services or resources.
- Document client information accurately and efficiently in the system.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth and effective intake process.
- Provide excellent customer service and address client concerns or questions promptly.
- Assist in transitioning patients from MLTC to MAP programs as needed.
- Report to the Intake Director and follow established protocols and procedures.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role; 3 years preferred.
- Fluency in both English and Spanish is mandatory.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.
- Experience transitioning patients from MLTC to MAP programs is a plus.
- Commitment to providing exceptional client service and maintaining confidentiality.
