Job Description

Overview

  • The Intake Specialist will manage patient data collection and entry for efficient medical billing and health information management.
  • This role involves conducting initial client assessments and directing them to appropriate services.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless intake process and accurate documentation.
  • Provide excellent customer service, addressing client concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Work on-site during normal business hours, Monday through Friday.
  • Engage in transitioning patients from MLTC to MAP, enhancing their healthcare experience.
  • Support a dynamic team environment under the guidance of the Intake Director.
  • Contribute to a temporary project with potential for extension based on performance.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Answer incoming calls and assist clients professionally and courteously.
  • Gather necessary client information using phone systems to facilitate the intake process.
  • Conduct initial assessments to determine client needs and direct them to appropriate services or resources.
  • Document client information accurately and efficiently in the system.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth and effective intake process.
  • Provide excellent customer service and address client concerns or questions promptly.
  • Assist in transitioning patients from MLTC to MAP programs as needed.
  • Report to the Intake Director and follow established protocols and procedures.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role; 3 years preferred.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish is mandatory.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.
  • Experience transitioning patients from MLTC to MAP programs is a plus.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional client service and maintaining confidentiality.
