Overview
- Lead e-billing operations, ensuring compliance and efficiency for electronically billed clients.
- Provide strategic oversight and partner with cross-functional teams to optimize billing processes.
- Serve as a senior escalation point for complex billing issues and client disputes.
- Act as subject-matter expert on e-billing systems, vendor platforms, and compliance requirements.
- Manage high-visibility initiatives related to rate management and invoice submission.
- Oversee process improvement and vendor platform optimization efforts.
- Collaborate with Pricing, Billing, and Finance leadership to support financial goals.
- Enhance client experience through seamless e-billing operations and compliance adherence.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Provide leadership for e-billing functions, guiding a team to ensure accurate invoice submission.
- Resolve complex client billing issues, maintaining satisfaction and compliance.
- Oversee client e-billing lifecycle, including setup, rate configuration, and annual submissions.
- Monitor daily e-billing activity, addressing rejections and appeals effectively.
- Ensure accruals are submitted accurately and timely to client vendor sites.
- Maintain internal controls around billing requirements and vendor rules.
- Generate and analyze reports to identify trends and operational enhancement opportunities.
- Lead process improvement initiatives and technology upgrades related to e-billing systems.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in e-billing or financial operations.
- Prior experience in a law firm is mandatory.
- Proficiency with e-billing systems like Aderant and BillBlast.
- Advanced Excel skills, including complex functions and reporting capabilities.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
