Job Description

Overview

  • Lead e-billing operations, ensuring compliance and efficiency for electronically billed clients.
  • Provide strategic oversight and partner with cross-functional teams to optimize billing processes.
  • Serve as a senior escalation point for complex billing issues and client disputes.
  • Act as subject-matter expert on e-billing systems, vendor platforms, and compliance requirements.
  • Manage high-visibility initiatives related to rate management and invoice submission.
  • Oversee process improvement and vendor platform optimization efforts.
  • Collaborate with Pricing, Billing, and Finance leadership to support financial goals.
  • Enhance client experience through seamless e-billing operations and compliance adherence.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Provide leadership for e-billing functions, guiding a team to ensure accurate invoice submission.
  • Resolve complex client billing issues, maintaining satisfaction and compliance.
  • Oversee client e-billing lifecycle, including setup, rate configuration, and annual submissions.
  • Monitor daily e-billing activity, addressing rejections and appeals effectively.
  • Ensure accruals are submitted accurately and timely to client vendor sites.
  • Maintain internal controls around billing requirements and vendor rules.
  • Generate and analyze reports to identify trends and operational enhancement opportunities.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives and technology upgrades related to e-billing systems.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in e-billing or financial operations.
  • Prior experience in a law firm is mandatory.
  • Proficiency with e-billing systems like Aderant and BillBlast.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including complex functions and reporting capabilities.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management experience.
  • Exceptional communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
