Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee daily operations of the Operating Room, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and protocols.
  • Develop and implement policies to enhance patient care and operational efficiency within the department.
  • Supervise and evaluate nursing staff performance, providing constructive feedback and support for improvement.
  • Coordinate with physicians and healthcare professionals to optimize patient care plans and outcomes.
  • Monitor and manage departmental budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction within the Operating Room.
  • Ensure proper training and development opportunities for nursing staff to maintain high competency levels.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies to uphold standards of care.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution is required for this role.
  • Oregon Registered Nurse License must be obtained prior to the start date of employment.
  • National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting is required.
  • Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in Nursing or a related field for advanced expertise.
  • CNOR certification is highly desirable and demonstrates specialized knowledge in perioperative nursing.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage and inspire a diverse team.
  • Ability to work on-site and commit to a full-time schedule in a high-paced environment.
